Bio

Elektra Quecha took a long time to come to Surrey.  About 28 years, to be exact.  Like a lot of drag queens, it was Halloween that lead to that first chance to shine as a girl.  Performing a song to great acclaim and winning the first of many best costume prizes at the Vancouver Men’s Chorus party lead to more appearances.  That was under the name “Jenn Eric”…being the late 70’s with stores introducing the first of the “generic” labels, it seemed the perfect name for a queen ready to shift styles and take on a range of “characters”.   More than a decade of drag in Vancouver established a reputation as a solid performer specializing in alternate interpretations of songs that brought comedy and entertainment to those classic songs done on the circuit.   A special man came into my life in 1990 and brought a move to Surrey and the quiet life.  It was not until he won Mr Gay Surrey 2006 and began to perform that the desire to return to the stage hit me.  So, Elektra was born with a unique look and a focus on elegance and flair.  Appearances in Surrey lead to the role of Imperial Crown Princess and regular performances at Court events and the Luv Show.  Not one to be pigeon holed, it’s hard to predict what kind of song she will perform.  It ranges from something with a comedy twist to a ballad with a special message, but always done with style and elegance!
